I've never worked with any company whose team works as well together as Nick & his team; if I send an email to them they responded almost immediately, they answered my questions in a way that I could understand, they never made me feel like a bother, they ran numbers on house after house until I found the perfect one.
You truly feel like family (the good side) when you work with them, and they don't leave you once the loan is done; I know they're always there for me to answer any further questions, they truly are the best. It's obvious their clients truly are their number one priority, they are skilled in and knowledgeable about the rates and do what is best for you; the client.

David Wiles
Executive Vice President/General Counsel
About David
As Directors Mortgage Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Headquarters, David Wiles is determined to effectively lead, positively impact others and contribute to a greater wellbeing beyond himself, both in and out of the office. As a leader at Directors Mortgage, David oversees financial, accounting and human resource operations, which include anything from budgeting and financial reporting to training and recruitment. In addition, David advises the legal and compliance teams with operations, and strategizes with senior management to advance lending and business endeavors. Overall, David ensures the Directors Mortgage client experience is properly met in all aspects.
David was born and raised in Salem, but currently lives in West Linn. In his free time, he loves traveling, studying history, and boating, skiing and hiking in the great outdoors.
David is not only experienced in the professional world but has also attended several universities. Most recently, he earned his master’s degree in military strategic studies at the U.S. Army War College in 2011. Between 1977 and 1989, David attended Rutgers University for a Bachelor of Arts in political science, Whittier College School of Law for a Juris Doctorate degree and The George Washington University International Law and Legal Studies Master’s Program.
In addition to his roles at Directors Mortgage and academic achievements, David is an experienced executive with expertise in law, mortgage, real estate and business operations.
Sherry Grubb
Executive Assistant to Mark J. Hanna
About Sherry
Sherry Grubb is the Directors Mortgage Executive Assistant to President/Chief Executive Officer Mark J. Hanna at Headquarters. As the CEO’s assistant, she helps him with the daily tasks of running Directors Mortgage, supports the Hanna Team loan team and handles loan officer and employee requests.
Ever since she was a little girl, Sherry dreamed of being an executive assistant to a CEO, so her dreams came true at Directors Mortgage. With landing her dream job, she has gained skills in fostering company culture. She always leaves her door open so she can help team members through challenges, in order to ultimately achieve whatever is best for clients. Sherry believes in treating others how you would like to be treated, being compassionate, being open-minded to ways you can improve and listening to others.
In addition to her expertise in being an assistant, Sherry attended Chase Business College in Vancouver, Washington. She also earned her legal assistant degree.
Before being the CEO’s executive assistant, Sherry was hired in 2000 as an assistant loan officer at the Hollywood office. She then transferred to Headquarters in 2001, where she became a member of the Hanna Team loan team. A few years later, she became President/CEO Mark J. Hanna’s executive assistant.
Sherry was born in Portland, but grew up in the Vancouver, Washington, area. When she was 19, she moved back to Portland, where she has lived in the Happy Valley area for 30 years.
When Sherry is out of the office, she enjoys cooking, hiking and camping with family. In her personal life, Sherry aims to spend more time travelling the world and spending even more time with her family.

After earning bachelor’s degrees in accounting and business, Nicole went to work in the banking industry, gaining experience in mortgages and operations while in that space. She joined Directors Mortgage in 2019, bringing both industry experience and great interpersonal skills to the table.

Janell Shrock
VP Compliance
About Janell
As Directors Mortgage Vice President of Compliance at Headquarters, Janell Shrock oversees a number of roles. She and her team manage all quality control reviews, internal and external audits and all corporate policies and procedures. Additionally, Janell and her team manage licensing of all branches and individuals, annual training requirements and reporting, vendor oversight and even lend general support to the operations team with compliance-related questions.
In addition to her current managerial roles, Janell plans to expand her responsibilities by contributing creative ideas and solutions to the everchanging mortgage world. She believes that perfection is what you make it.
On top of her Directors Mortgage accomplishments, Janell has 25 years of experience in banking and 20 years in compliance, specifically.
Janell was raised in Tigard, but now resides in Tualatin. Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her family. Janell and her family enjoy camping and boating in the summer, watching the Oregon Ducks play football in the fall and vacationing to a warm place in the winter.

Brad Dollar
VP of Production
About Brad
As Directors Mortgage Assistant Vice President of Production at Headquarters, Brad Dollar aims to give clients the best experience, by capitalizing on the value of work done by real people paired with technological advancements. As a leader in both the loan originating system and operational departments, Brad is responsible for start-to-finish processes, from setup to processing all the way to closing. In addition to seeing many processes through, he assists loan originators with product training, guidelines, escalations and overall management.
Brad grew up in Salem, but currently resides in Tualatin. Outside of the office, Brad enjoys hiking, camping, reading and gaming.
In addition to his professional leadership and skills, Brad earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, as well as his Bachelor of Science in Spanish from University of Oregon. In addition to collegiate accomplishments, Brad has over 20 years in the operations and sales industry. He has a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) to be licensed in both Oregon and Washington, in addition to being a Direct Endorsement (DE) certified underwriter.
Overall, Brad values honesty, integrity and strong communication. He believes it is essential that everyone at Directors Mortgage knows the direct impact each role has on the client experience, as well as referral partners.

About Nicole
Directors Mortgage Vice President of Communications at Headquarters, Nicole Prom, implements effective communication plans to keep all team members informed and engaged. She is a Strategic Executive Board member, providing the company with strategic initiatives and communication strategies. In addition, she helps to maintain the family company culture and employee engagement, as well as increase operational efficiencies and analyze client experience.
With more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, market and data analysis, operations and leadership, Nicole has developed several skills, allowing her to create solutions and strategies for Directors Mortgage to achieve company goals, principles and continue the overall company mission. On top of seven years with Directors Mortgage, Nicole earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Accounting from North Dakota State University.
During her free time, Nicole loves to enjoy The Pacific Northwest with her friends and family at outdoor music events, wine tasting, sledding and going to the beach.
Professionally, Nicole believes in doing the right things for the right reasons to achieve overarching organization goals. She strives to be a catalyst for positive change and advancement, and to create an inclusive work environment for all team members to walk the path of success together.

Jamie Voth-Pickens
VP Marketing & Business Development
About Jamie
As Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Headquarters, Jamie oversees operations across several functional areas at Directors Mortgage. To put it simply, she is responsible for integrating business development, marketing, strategy, and community outreach for Directors Mortgage at the Corporate level.
Jamie has over two decades of experience in the Real Estate industry. Prior to joining Directors Mortgage, Jamie served as the Chief Relationships Manager for Commerce Home Mortgage. In this role Jamie oversaw a diverse portfolio of clients, managed communications, and developed engagement strategies for one of Commerce Home Mortgages’ top executives.
Jamie has a deep admiration for military and public service. Her parents both served the community as educators and Jamie followed suit after college. Her Grandfather served in the Army during WWII, her father in the Oregon National Guard. Her sister and brother both served in the Army and saw multiple tours overseas. Jamie currently serves on the Board of Directors Selection Committee at the Pat Tillman Foundation.
Fitness and wellbeing are important to Jamie, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education from Portland State University. One of Jamie’s passion projects at Directors Mortgage is the DMCares Initiative, which aspires to raise awareness, create opportunities, and unite people to make a difference in order to promote health and well-being.
Outside of her work with Directors Mortgage, Jamie is a MOSSA certified Group Groove Instructor and she teaches an exercise dance class for fun in Portland.
Jamie’s greatest love is her family, she loves nothing more than spending time with her twin teenage sons and their golden retriever “Penny Pancake”.

Denise Stewart

Denise Stewart brings 21 years of business development and corporate relationships to USA Direct Funding as Senior Vice President. Denise brings intense passion, professionalism and lives by the philosophy “Educate customers of their options and guide them through every step of the process while building life-long relationships.”
Denise has extensive expertise in financial products and credit assessment. She is very tied to the credit union community and is anxious to expand those relationships into the wholesale mortgage industry. Her experience, leadership tenacity and strategic insights allow her to drill down to the core issues, adding strategic insights and driving positive results.
Denise has a great understanding and appreciation for people of all learning styles and backgrounds. She thrives in social settings and enjoys meeting new people. She combines professionalism, warmth, and her trademark joie de vivre to motivate a productive and spirited team of dedicated professionals.
Denise is celebrating her 21st year in the Pacific Northwest having moved here from San Antonio Texas. Larry Melton leads a small, committed and specialized reverse mortgage team as Directors Mortgage Vice President of Reverse Mortgage at Headquarters. Larry and his team are determined to improve the clients’ financial circumstances by guiding them through both the options and benefits of the reverse mortgage loan program. Overall, he and his team build strong professional partnerships with other leaders in the industry, in order to provide an enhanced product for their clients.
In addition to his Directors Mortgage professional responsibilities, Larry has 19 years of experience in the mortgage, nine years of reverse mortgage experience and was formerly licensed as an investment broker. In addition, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Portland.
Currently, Larry lives in Tualatin, but is from The Dalles. During his time out of the office, Larry loves to travel, golf and spend time with his wife and two daughters.
Peri Henderson

Peri has been in the Mortgage industry since 1993 and with Directors Mortgage since 2000. Her passion is coaching and educating her clients through the homebuying process. Peri works with EdgeU, an accredited Continuing Education (CE) provider in Oregon and Washington that provides CE hours to licensed Realtors. She is accredited to teach 1 hour CE to our Financial Planning Community.
Brett Burns

As Directors Mortgage Producing, Regional Vice President at our Bellevue location, Brett Burns and his team are dedicated to helping clients with buying and refinancing their homes. He and his team work hard to earn the trust and respect of each client and business partner and aim to be their life-long mortgage advisors.
Named as one of the Top Loan Officers in the country for the past few years, Brett has over 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry and earned his national and state licenses in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho and Arizona. Since 2010, he has funded thousands of loans, totaling over $1 billion to date as a top producer and a Chairman’s Circle member.
In addition to his professional expertise and qualifications, Brett earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance at Seattle University.
Currently, Brett calls Issaquah, Washington, home. Out of the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling and all things watersports.

Directors Mortgage Producing, Regional Vice President Nick Carter helps clients achieve their homeowner dreams, while saving them money by guiding them through refinancing. He also helps clients purchase investment properties and second homes.
Nick was born and raised in Eugene and attended University of Oregon, where he earned a degree in Business. But in 2020, he moved and now calls Elmira home. In addition to his academic achievements and more than six years at Directors Mortgage, Nick was formerly the Oregon Mortgage Association President. He is well-versed in several loan programs available, which allows Nick to provide his clients with home loans tailored to their needs.
In his free time, you can find Nick coaching his children’s sports teams, camping with his family, spending time with friends and boating.
Overall, Nick is determined to ensure every Directors Mortgage client and their family experiences the best care throughout the entire process; anything less is unacceptable.

In addition to his leadership role at Directors Mortgage, Scott has over 20 years of experience in the mortgage and banking industries. He excels in lending origination, home preservation, risk management and analysis, retail and wholesale, correspondence and operations. Scott is VA certified, a Direct Endorsement (DE) certified underwriter, and always focused on compliance and assessment of risk management.
Before his mortgage career, Scott attended Western Oregon University where he earned a degree in English and a Minor in Communications.
Scott was born in Portland, but now calls Maple Valley, Washington, home. In his free time, Scott loves hiking, spending time with family and showing his love for animals.

Mike is a graduate of Central Washington University and has over 35+ years in the industry. He has excelled throughout his career in helping individuals achieve their homebuying dreams, and he has been recognized as a 34 time President Club member and 6 time Loan Officer of the Year award winner for his efforts. He gives back to his community in multiple ways including serving on the Executive Board for the Seattle Police Foundation and Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. Mike is also a 28 year member of the Seattle Police Department.

Katrina McKay

As Directors Mortgage AVP Processing Manager at Lake Oswego, Katrina McKay is determined to truly be what the company needs, while operating at her personal best.
With over 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Katrina knows the loan process start-to-finish. Katrina is skilled in underwriting, doc lending and management, credit risk and post-compliance, so she is prepared to oversee and support her staff in every way possible.
In her Directors Mortgage leadership position, Katrina strives to build and maintain relationships with the people around her in order to ensure an improved, smooth loan process.
As a mother of five and a grandmother of two, Katrina values integrity, dedication, focus and communication in both her personal and professional life.
Outside of the office, Katrina splits her time between Battleground, Washington, where her three adult children reside, and Phoenix, Arizona, where her two high school children, her husband and she moved in 2018.
Katrina is extremely family-oriented and prioritizes outdoor time with her loved ones, camping, traveling and catching live sporting events.
Overall, Katrina will go above and beyond to continue to grow her skill set and provide a positive experience for both her clients and her Directors Mortgage team.
