(MEPAA) (pronounced MEE-PUH) provides access to music education and the arts by removing barriers and identifying resources needed for inclusion, exploration, and success. MEPAA has served thousands of artists and musicians of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and financial statuses. Matrisha came from humble beginnings that never stopped her from achieving her goals. She found her greatest passion in creating music, serving the community, and producing educational workshops and events for over 25 years alongside her husband and bandmate, Austin Armitage. With programs including GRRRLZ ROCK, KIDZ ROCK & MuseArt, the MEPAA Music & Arts Center opened in May of 2022 and provides resources, classes and workshops to a widely diverse group of students and families with a fully accessible space. Matrisha has been changing lives in her community for many years and is blessed with a supportive family, volunteers, staff, board members, and generous donors that make the dream possible!
