As Chairman and CEO, Mark Hanna founded Directors Mortgage in 1998 with a passion for serving people and a love for numbers. Through decades of building a strong company focused on clients’ mortgage needs and the client experience, he has expanded the company to more than 25 locations across the Pacific Northwest.
Mark leads with a balanced focus on client satisfaction, streamlining operations, risk management, regulatory compliance, external economic factors, innovation and growth. With the future and long-term success in mind, he works to identify and seize opportunities that make sense for the right reasons. These strategic business decisions consistently give Directors Mortgage the momentum to make large strides. In 2006, he launched a wholesale division, USA Direct Funding, to expand Directors Mortgage’s exceptional in-house mortgage banking capabilities. In 2009, Mark launched Market Appraisals, an appraisal management company, with the goal to better serve clients through the appraisal process.
Mindful of his lending practices and with a constant focus on integrity, Mark expanded and advanced the company even throughout the housing financial crisis and Great Recession ranging from 2007 through 2009. While many other mortgage companies were closing their doors, Directors Mortgage was growing – a true testament to Mark’s strategic business planning and leadership.
A top priority for Mark has always been to hire and retain talented professionals, whom he strives to inspire and empower. And in 2017, as an expansion of his commitment to take care of Directors Mortgage team members, he launched a companywide profit sharing plan.
Grateful for his success, Mark has always been committed to giving back to the community through philanthropic efforts earning Directors Mortgage recognition as one of the Top Philanthropic Companies every year since 2001.
